Columbia undergraduate class of '39. WWII veteran. Returned to Teachers' College after the war. NYC teacher, AP principal. Many achievements, including High School Teachers Association "Picket" (it was illegal to call it a strike), which eventually led to helping to start the UFT in group with Al Shanker. Worked closely with parents as a principal in Harlem and on Staten Island.
